This big two-day event provides an unmatched selection of plants and pots from multiple vendors, as well as an impressive display of the world’s most interesting and amazing succulents and cacti.

Plant Show
Cacti and succulents of all sizes and shapes will greet visitors to Henry Shaw Cactus and Succulent Society’s Show and Sale. Diverse plants from around the world will be highlighted at our new venue: Jost Event Center in the I-170 Business Center. In addition, vendors will offer hundreds of starter and specimen plants for sale.

HSCSS members will stage their best specimens to share with visitors. These seldom-seen plants reflect age and rarity, as well as their owners’ growing skills. Displays will include strange shapes, odd textures, varied colors and other surprising features that cacti and succulents have developed to address their arid natural environments.

Plant Sale
Beyond the beautiful and sometimes bizarre show plants, this event will offer cacti and succulents – as well as unique pots – for sale in a range of prices. Novice gardeners can start with small, easy-to-grow plants, while collectors and serious plant enthusiasts will find unusual and hard-to-find cacti and succulents. HSCSS members will be on hand to answer questions and distribute a general plant care sheet to those who buy plants.

PLANNED VENDORS
J & J Cactus and Succulents and Something 2 Grown On from Midwest City, Okla., will offer hundreds of plants for all tastes and levels of growing experience. Drummond Nursery and Greenhouses from De Soto, Mo., will return with a huge variety of fine cacti and succulents. Look for great handmade pots from Carol Wichern’s Friendly Valley Studio in Perryville, Mo., and Giessow Pottery of Brentwood, Mo. HSCSS members will round out the selection with additional plants and pots.
