Tonnemaker Valley Farm

Sammamish Valley is beautiful farm country and a treasure for Seattle folks who care about good food raised right. The Tonnemaker family have been working the land in Washington since 1903, when they planted an orchard in Yakima Valley. The family still operates that farm, and in 2014, the fourth generation purchased land in Woodinville and began planting. Today, they tend nine acres of land reclaimed from invasive Canary Reed grass, growing more than 150 varieties of organic fruits and vegetables. Chef Karuna Long is the proud son of Cambodian refugees. Sophon, named for his mother, features authentic cuisine of the Khmer culture and Khmer-diaspora recipes influenced by the many places across the US where Karuna and his family have lived since fleeing their native land. Sophon was named one of Bon Appétit's 20 best new restaurants of 2024. We are honored to have Chef Karuna return to the field with us.
