And where does the wealth it generates actually go?These questions not only shaped the political and cultural imagination of the Transition, but continue to resonate today—connecting directly with ongoing debates about rural life, depopulation (la España vaciada), and extractivism.One of the most striking films in this section is a powerful underground documentary that exposes the harsh realities of rural life under Franco’s regime.
