Designed for beginners and rusty enthusiasts, this fabulous workshop will give you a solid and practical foundation in painting with oil paints, and most importantly, introduce you to the Art of SEEING. 

We will first visit some essentials: creating a basic sketch, some fascinating and practical colour theory, composition principles and some basic paint techniques, and how to build tonal relationships that bring your paintings to life!

You will learn how to paint directly from a still-life in the studio to produce a finished painting, building your skills and confidence as a artist.

This 4-hour workshop will be held at Nauti Studios Hazelbrook in the beautiful Blue Mountains and is hosted by Mountains artist Cecilia Smith, an artist of many years' experience whose work can be view here: www.ceciliasmithfineart.com.  

Tea, coffee, snacks and lunch will be provided, and students must bring their own materials - a simple list will be provided.
