This event was initiated by a group of local people, and is supported by the Parish Council and Village Hall.

Event is FREE to attend, but please register your intention to come by clicking on the ticket link below. 

Voluntary donations on the night are invited, to help cover costs.

What is it about?

In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing (NEB) brought together leading experts in science, climate, nature, health, defence, food security, energy and economics to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster. That evidence is now on the public record.

The evidence is now being taken into communities, groups and businesses across the UK in the form of a 50-minute film, so everyone can hear the evidence and discuss how to respond. 

The Laxfield screening is free to attend (voluntary donations welcome to help with costs), and all are welcome (age 16+). This is a non-political, non-partisan conversation to discuss how we, as a community, wish to respond to the evidence given. Facilitated discussions in small groups will follow the screening, with refreshments. 

For anyone feeling there is nothing we can do - the film reassures us that there is plenty we CAN do to, provided we engage positively, and swiftly.
