We invite you to prayerfully consider attending our Discover First United lunch and program on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in the Fellowship Hall from 11:15 AM until 1:00 PM. This event is designed to introduce you and your family to the church and is open to anyone interested in learning more about our worshiping community and/or membership. We also promise to honor your time and end the program by 1:00 PM.
If you are new to FUPCDC, are interested in possibly joining the church, or becoming an official “Friend of the Church,” the Discover First United Program is for you!
FREE childcare and a meal
During this orientation, you will have the opportunity to explore your faith, learn a little bit about Presbyterian history and beliefs, and understand how FUPCDC serves its congregation and community through worship, mission, outreach, study, and fellowship. There will also be an opportunity for you to meet others who are potential members and friends of the church, and to ask questions of some of the leaders who are actively serving FUPCDC in a variety of ministries.

At the end of the program, a commission of Elders will meet with those who desire to become members or official friends of FUPCDC. However, you are under no obligation to join at the end of the event. (Please plan to stay until 1:30 PM if you plan to officially join the church Sunday, September 21st.)
