This reserve is part of the extensive greenspace managed by the Milton Keynes Parks Trust. It was created between 2007-14 and opened in 2016 from the recent gravel extraction pits. Now it is lakes, scrub and woodland. 

There are 3 small bird hides on the reserve, from which we would expect to see some wildfowl, egrets, herons and hears Sedge and Reed Warblers. The site is good for owls, and Little Owls have bred there in the past. By the entrance is a chimney which has seen nesting of Peregrines in the past, so fingers crossed.
