The evening begins as the last streaks of daylight fade into amber. Candles flicker against plaid tablecloths, and the soft hum of conversation mingles with the faint scent of the deliciousness to come. Outside, the air is crisp enough to make you pull your flannel a little tighter; inside, warmth gathers.
First Course
The first course arrives like a spark of brightness against the cozy chill — Shrimp Ceviche with Avocado and Charred Corn. The shrimp glisten in citrus and sea salt, laced with lime and cilantro. The creamy avocado softens the edges, while bits of charred corn bring a whisper of smoke — a promise of the courses to come. Each bite tastes like a story that started somewhere warm and ended here, among laughter and glowing candlelight.
Second Course
Then comes the comfort in the second course — Halloumi-Stuffed Sweet Peppers. The peppers split open like warm embers, with the halloumi stuffed inside. A drizzle of thyme honey clings to the edges, catching the light as someone passes a plate and says, “You have to try this.” It’s the taste of shared warmth — a little sweet, a little salty, utterly simple, yet somehow perfect.
Third Course
Next, the night deepens in the third course with Smoked Beef Brisket and Chimichurri over White Cheddar Polenta Cakes — a dish that feels like the heart of the evening. The brisket is tender enough to fall apart with a glance, its smoky richness tempered by a vivid green chimichurri that crackles with garlic and herbs. The polenta cakes are golden and crisp, the cheddar inside just sharp enough to stand its ground. Around the table, forks pause, and time slows a little.
Fourth Course
And then — as the laughter turns low and the stories grow longer — dessert makes its entrance: Chocolate Guinness Cake. Dark, moist, unapologetically rich, it carries the bittersweet hum of stout and deep cocoa. The first bite is indulgent. It tastes of friendship, of fullness, of staying a little longer before you pull your coat on again.
By the time the plates are cleared and the wine has all been tasted, no one’s in a hurry to leave. The flannel and the food and the music and the company have done their work — leaving behind a glow that feels, somehow, like home.
All courses are accompanied by a selection of fine wines for tasting as well as specially-selected beverages. And no evening is complete with soothing, live music.
