Socratic Society Week 10 Debate: Nietzsche - Genius, Prophet or Charlatan?

Friedrich Nietzsche was a 19th century philosopher known for his controversial critiques of religion, morality and prior philosophy, and for ideas such as the will to power, Overman, eternal return and death of God. Nietzsche has a complicated intellectual legacy, cited as inspiration for both free thinkers and Nazi propaganda. Join the Socratic Society as we debate whether he was a genius that successfully addressed the problems of philosophy, a prophet that saw ahead of his contemporaries to the problems to come, or a charlatan whose fundamentally mistaken ideas are disguised in overdramatic style.
