The day brings together artists, environmentalists, performers, producers, and anyone interested in connecting with local creative voices. Designed for those curious about arts practice, our environment, and the power of dialogue, Creative Dialogues offers a welcoming space to share ideas, spark collaboration, and explore the intersections of creativity, ecology, and collective action.This 1.5 hour workshop for all abilities will take place at the Wollongong Art Gallery education space on level 4. Led by Danielle Creenaune, participants will explore printmaking through experimental monotypes and monprints using foliage and other natural objects.About the artist:Danielle Creenaune is an Australian artist based on Dharawal land whose twenty years living between Europe and Australia continues to shape how she thinks about her environment. Her practice centres on the relationship between people and landscape as something filtered through memory, movement, and personal experience. She specialises in print media using the sensitivity and tactility of lithographic techniques to convey shifts in movement and energy within the natural environment. In her work, the narrative of place involves concepts of care, immediacy, constant flux, observation and walking as a collective experience. Exhibiting widely in Australia and internationally, Creenaune has received major awards including the Rene Carcan Printmaking Award 2018 in Belgium and she was selected for the International Print Triennial in Krakow. Her work is held in significant public collections including the NGA and she is an elected associate member of the Royal Society of Printmakers UK.
