Do you envision a world in which all women and girls have access to a clean and safe birth? We are holding an in-person Birthing Kit Assembly Day to pack and supply clean Birth Kits to pregnant women living in rural communities and low-resource settings around the world. Volunteers are required to assist packing Birthing Kits for the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia.
The Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia) is a humanitarian organisation that provides birthing kits and education in clean birthing practices to women birthing at home in remote regions of the developing world. On Saturday 31st May we are holding a Birthing Kit Assembly Day. We aim to purchase & pack the contents of 1000 kits. Each kit costs $5.

Each kit contains: gauze, plastic sheet, soap, cord ties, sterile blade & latex gloves.
To date, 2.6 million Clean Birth Kits have been distributed to women in need. By conservative estimates this number of kits would have saved the lives of tens of thousands of women and babies by reducing maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity. Kits are given to mothers through community outreach programs, supplied to health facilities for use by doctors, midwives and nurses or distributed to traditional birthing attendants. They are designed to support hygienic practices and environments during childbirth in under-resourced settings.
Morning Tea provided & bring your refillable water bottle. Fundraising raffles on the day.
Register to volunteer (free) & donate kits if you can't attend
