NHC Area – Dr. George Bountakis Seminar (+Coach Revalidation)

Time: 10:00-14:30pm (Doors open for registration from 9:15am)
Venue: Pinewood Judo Club, Old Wokingham Rd, Wokingham, RG40 3AQ
Open to all Coaches & Judoka with a valid BJA Membership: Minimum age 18 years old (14year old+ players can attend but must be accompanied by an adult)
Dr. George Bountakis is a distinguished judo coach, educator, and researcher recognized internationally for his contributions to the sport. Having made a successful transition from competitive judoka, he now holds key positions within national federations and plays a significant role in advancing both judo coaching practices and academic research related to judo.
Topics: ● How to develop tokui-waza (Favourite technique) ● Training using judo jacket and belt ● Method of teaching techniques ● Ne-waza (for competitors) ● Kumi-kata (grip training and solutions) ● Coaching cadets and juniors (Mitsumoto’s method- judo’s NPO) ● How to develop rhythm in judo (example uchi-mata)
Mat fee: £20 per judoka payable to the NHC. All judoka must register in advance using the following Jot form

Parking Information: Parking on site is free
Lunch: Lunch is not included. Participants may bring a packed lunch, or purchase food at the nearby cafe, M&S Petrol Station, or Tesco Express. The Club Shop will be open for tea, coffee, and soft drinks.
