Wet winter days can either be spent huddled indoors or outside embracing the elements. Join us for an informative morning in the classroom learning about the birds that enjoy this harsh weather before venturing outside at a local private reserve in search of them.
The morning session will be at the Merstham Hub where you can enjoy warm and professional surroundings as well as ample free parking. After lunch you will drive to a local reserve that our tutor, Simon Elson, has special access to. The afternoon will be spent looking for signs of these birds as well as spotting quite a few of them. Don't forget your binoculars and cameras.
This is a beginners course, but we welcome those who have previous knowledge. Please note that we will be walking on uncovered, uneven wetland in the afternoon, Therefore, sturdy walking boots will be required.
