# Event Details - **Event Name**: Paper Cement Sculpture - Trio of Garden Fungi - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 21 Jun, 2026 at 09:45 am – Sun, 21 Jun, 2026 at 05:00 pm - **Event Description**: PAPER CEMENT SCULPTURE WORKSHOP - CREATE A TRIO OF FABULOUS GARDEN FUNGI Sunday 21 June 9.45 am – 5.00 pm £95.00 including refreshments, lunch, all materials, use of equipment on the day, tutoring & you can take your creations home with you. This full-day group workshop with our guest figurative sculptor, Christine Pike, is suitable for beginners. Create a trio of marvellous mushrooms or terrific toadstools (or a mix of both) for your garden, using recycled materials and "paper cement clay"*. Your pieces will be approximately 18 cm high. Your creations will be able to go outside once fully cured. In this workshop you will create three realistic-looking fungi which you can either leave in the "raw" or paint once fully cured (leave for at least one week to cure). All materials and tools will be provided and you will be able to take your fungi home with you. Christine will explain how to properly cure your work and advise on how to paint and seal it. You can, if you prefer, seal and leave it in its natural state, which will resemble carved stone. Please note: we will be working with Portland cement, which contains lime, so you will need to wear plastic gloves at all times (these will be provided). This PAPER CEMENT SCULPTURE WORKSHOP - CREATE A TRIO OF FABULOUS GARDEN FUNGI will be held in the peaceful setting of our Blended Monkey outdoor covered studio. Numbers are limited to ensure you get plenty of 1-2-1 tuition. This sculpture workshop is suitable for 16+. About a week before your workshop date, we'll e-mail you again with more details about parking etc. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and also a lovely lunch - tailored to meet all dietary requirements.
