GEL PLATE PRINTING & EARRING MAKING WORKSHOP
Sunday 17 May 9.45 am – 4.00 pm
£85 including refreshments, lunch, materials, use of equipment on the day, tutoring, your earrings and lots of printed papers.
This full-day group workshop with our guest tutor, Helen Thomas, is suitable for all skill levels.
Unleash your creativity and start the day exploring the magic of gel plate printing. You will use a variety of everyday items, stencils and fresh foliage from our Blended Monkey gardens to create stunning prints on paper that are uniquely your own. Helen will guide you through every step.
After a lovely lunch (tailored to meet all dietary requirements), you will be taking your printed creations to the next level and transforming them into stylish earrings.
Learn techniques to cut, shape and assemble your prints into beautiful wearable art, bespoke to you. You will make at least two pairs of earrings in our friendly, beginner-focused environment.
Gel plate printing is a form of mono-printing that uses a flexible, gel-like plate to create unique prints without the need for a press. It's a popular technique for both fine art and craft applications.
Students will be able to make use of the extensive Blended Monkey gardens to source leaves and grasses for their prints.
All materials are provided.
Please wear clothes you don't mind getting messy.
This GEL PLATE PRINTING and EARRING MAKING workshop will be held in the peaceful setting of our Blended Monkey studios on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border.
Numbers are limited to ensure you get plenty of 1-2-1 tuition.
This relaxing workshop is suitable for 16+.

All students will be provided with a certificate of completion.

The full-day workshop includes:
