Wisbech Castle began as a Norman Motte around 1097,it later became a place for the Bishops of Ely and then used as a Tudor prison for Catholic Priests.
The Castle and its prison Vaults is widely known to be very haunted, with reports of ghostly shadow people and eerie unexplained cold spot , evps capture disembodied voices that have been trapped within the Castle walls.
