2026 Sun Mountain Balloon Popup

Sun Mountain Lodge and Balloon Depot are partnering to offer a fun experience onsite on Friday, March 6, 2025, from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. Lift off and enjoy short, tethered rides in a hot air balloon on the Lodge Lawn.

At sunset, the Pre-Glow event will begin with a hot air balloon lit creating a stunning visual experience for the whole family and a priceless photo opportunity. The Pre-Glow event is open to the public, tickets are not required.

Tickets for short, tethered rides are $20 per person + tax & fees. This event is weather-dependent and relies on calm wind speeds. If weather does not permit, your ticket will be refunded.

The Sun Mountain Lodge dining outlets will offer drink specials throughout the weekend. Take advantage of overlooking the Methow Valley during this event to give you a unique perspective.

Balloon Depot is a Snohomish-based hot air balloon adventure company that has been in operation since 1978. Balloon Depot is a long-standing participant in the Winthrop Balloon Roundup. The 29th annual Air Balloon Roundup is held in Winthrop from March 6 through 8th.
