Fuoco Obbligato

Returning to the Bach Festival after their enchanting 89th season performance, Fuoco Obbligato brings intimacy, elegance, and expressive depth to Knowles Memorial Chapel.

Founded by violinist Katharina Wolff—daughter of renowned Bach scholar Christoph Wolff—this Paris-based ensemble features rising stars from Opera Fuoco’s young artists program. Their diverse repertoire spans Baroque cantatas, opera arias, and 20th-century art and folk songs.

Fuoco Obbligato expertly explores the dialogue between voice and obbligato instrument, blending emotion and intellect in every phrase.
