- **Event Description**: It’s the 1st race in the Florida Summer Slam Ultra series. Join us again to run around Lake Baldwin 13 times. It’s a 2.5mi loop. That’s right, you’ll run more than a 50k. 

The race starts at 6:30AM. Like every year, if you want to start early you can. However if you want to have a shot at the Summer Slam title you must start at 6:30AM. 

If it gets too hot and you can’t finish the full distance, that’s okay too. All you have to do to is complete the miles by Sunday night and submit your tracked evidence to one of the RDs. This will allow you to still complete the summer slam if you finish the other two events. 

This is a true Fat Ass race. You will need to provide all of your own supplies. All that will be provided is some cheering from the RDs and other runners. There is a bathroom, but it’s typically not unlocked until sunrise. Please utilize your cars and a camp chair. Tents are not allowed. The parking area is shaded and comfortable. Please also be courteous to the non runners. The park won’t be shut down and the multi use trail will have everything from walkers to cyclists.
