The Beardsley Library and I are launching an 8-week PC Video Game Modding Course where teens and young adults will learn how to create their own custom content for the 2003 PC-video game *The Simpsons: Hit & Run*!

In this hands-on workshop, students will learn:
� Video game modding fundamentals
� Beginner Object-Oriented Programming
� Scripting and level design
� Game design principles
� File organization and project management
� Reverse engineering and code reading
� How to build custom missions, races, and story campaigns

By the end of the course, students will create their OWN playable “campaign mod” featuring:
� Custom missions
� AI races
� Vehicle destruction objectives
� An original story based in *The Simpsons* universe
