It’s time again for our 14th Annual - Winnipeg Global Fat Bike Day “Meet Up at the Forks” at 1:00 PM on Saturday 6 December 2025.
We will meet at the outdoor Canopy Cover area in the heart of the Forks Market. Then we will ride over to the WINNIPEG sign for a GROUP PICTURE 📸.
Then we will take a short Group Ride around the Forks area (3 Km loop) to warm.
* Warm Up Group Ride Route: This is a casual ride together on established riding/walkway multi-use paths around the Forks area, over the Esplanade Louis Riel Foot/Bike Bridge, south along the east side of the Red River on the pathway down to and over the Norwood Bridge on the protected pathway, and then north on the Forks area pathways and back to the WINNIPEG sign.
After the short Warm Up ride, you can join up with any group heading off on whatever ‘adhoc’ group rides folks decide to join. We will see what develops between now and GFBDay.
A group of us are already planning to ride through Whittier Park area over to the Kilter Brew Co Pub (very bike friendly parking and cozy inside and outside).
** If you have an idea for a route and want to lead or help out - just make a Post on this event in the Discussion area (it’s Public and open to all to post). We should end up with a variety of ideas and all the more fun for newbies to veteran riders.
*** Rides Risk Disclaimer: Join the rides at your own risk.

- Can I rent a Fatbike in Winnipeg? Yes, there are a number of local bike shops that rent fatbikes.
