Oyate Tipi Furniture Drive at IKEA

Oyate Tipi - Winnipeg's Furniture Bank - is holding a furniture drive this weekend at IKEA!

Furniture poverty - people who have a home but cannot afford furniture - is a bottleneck for people working to escape the cycle of homelessness. We provide furniture donations to families and individuals restarting their lives after surviving devastating circumstances and we rely on community donations to stock our inventory.

We will be at IKEA this Saturday and Sunday accepting any and all donations:

• Furniture - even the big stuff like couches or dinette sets
• Household items - bedding linens cutlery pots and pans small appliances like toasters or TVs
• Financial! We always accept and need financial support from those who can to support those who cannot!

We will have a table just inside the front entrance and our truck standing by to receive any and all donations. We are also ready to inform about our organization how we support the community and how your support benefits those in need.
