- **Event Description**: Join us for part three of the 9-part Dementia Care Series.About this EventSt.Amant is pleased to have Melanie Crabbe, an NTG-Canada Affiliated Provincial Trainer, providing this training based on the NTG-Canada approved modules.This 9-part series covers health care advocacy, aging and how dementia affects adults with intellectual disabilities. It teaches how to make quality observations, recognize age-related changes, and understand the progression of dementia. It introduces the NTG-EDSD screening tool and emphasizes the role of caregiver input. The modules also address creating dementia-friendly environments, applying key concepts and understanding responsive behaviors to better support individuals through proactive, flexible approaches.This module focuses on understanding what helps people age well and why it’s important to think about health across the whole lifespan.
