As we prepare to welcome the holiday season, we’re excited to share a fresh and meaningful twist to this year’s Celebration of Lights. While we’re taking a slightly new path, our goal remains the same: to bring joy, connection, and community spirit to Winneconne.
In addition to our 2nd annual Cocoa Walk on Friday December 12th, and traditional parade on Saturday December 13th, we have a new community event which the whole family will love!
🎄 New This Year: The Giving Tree and Commemorative Ornaments.
Instead of our traditional “Adopt-a-Tree” program in Waterfront Park, we’re introducing a beautiful Giving Tree, located near the Chamber Information Hut on the northeast side of the bridge. This tree will be a place for everyone, families, businesses, and visitors to stop by and add their own commemorative decorated ornaments.
In partnership with the Winneconne Area Community Foundation, we’ll be offering commemorative ornaments throughout the village for people to pick up, decorate, and place on the tree. This initiative also helps raise awareness for the Marble Park Reimagined Community project.
While donations for the ornaments are encouraged to support the park project, participation is open to all and no contribution is required to participate, only suggested.
The Giving Tree has been donated by Outdoor Expressions and will be ready for the community to place their ornaments the weekend of November21st
