Dive into the world of captivating stories, expressive sketches, painting, and sculpting.These on-site workshops engage students in exploring how art has been made over time—particularly in what is now North Dakota—through observation, discussion, and hands-on creation. Led by teaching artist Ali LaRock, students will create a small sketchbook to fill with ideas. They will turn their ideas into works of art by learning and exploring techniques with watercolor and clay. Bring your imagination and let's make something amazing together!This class is sponsored by the North Dakota Council on the ArtsStudents must be in grades 1-8 in order to participate.Please only sign up for 1 art class per kid for the summer to allow others the opportunity.Please complete registration for each child that will be attending.Water and a small snack will be provided.Please have students wear appropriate footwear to walk in the park and don't forget to apply sunscreen.By signing up, you give consent for your child to be photographed for purposed related to Northern Plains National Heritage Area, including promotion and documentation use.Parents can stay or drop off their child.
