Join us for our September Women’s Art Gathering, a relaxed and welcoming Blackout Poetry night. This is not a class and not a critique—just a creative space to slow down, notice words, and enjoy community together.
We’ll be creating blackout poetry by working with printed text—blacking out words and phrases until a poem, prayer, or message emerges. You can approach this intuitively, reflectively, or playfully, allowing meaning to surface rather than forcing it.
What we’ll provide:
Printed text pages
Markers, pens & ink tools
Simple embellishments
Everything needed to create
No writing or art experience is needed. This night is about attention, patience, and discovery, not perfection.
What to expect:
A calm, creative atmosphere
Gentle guidance to get you started
Freedom to work quietly or chat
Space to reflect, pray, or simply create
Come as you are. Bring a friend if you’d like. This is a place to rest, create, and let meaning rise to the surface.
