In this first class, Meaghan will show you the fundamentals of watercolour by painting mini landscape studies. Familiarize yourself with techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and dry-on-dry. You’ll learn how to play with landscape compositions to really make your work pop.Lesson 2: Saturday, December 6Let the colours flow! This class will introduce you to the harmony of colours and how to maximize the effects of your pigments using glazing techniques. You’ll explore watercolours by making postcard studies, building on composition and watercolour techniques.Lesson 3: Saturday, December 13Take your painting to the next level with a full watercolour landscape. You’ll choose your favorite composition, build up shapes, and refine details as you go. This class focuses on the elements that bring a painting together to create a polished work of art.Online pre-registration is required. All art-making materials will be supplied. This program is open to artists of all ages. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.
