In this fun and engaging sewing camp, young fashionistas will learn to sew their very own summer outfit—choose between a skirt or shorts,( both if you have enough fabric), design a breezy summer top, and top it all off with a trendy bucket hat.
Campers will gain hands-on experience with sewing machines, learn how to read and follow basic garment patterns, practice essential skills like measuring, cutting, pinning, and seam finishing, and explore fabric selection and design principles. Along the way, they’ll , discover creative techniques, organizational skills and build confidence through problem-solving and teamwork.
Minimal prior experience is needed.  Operational knowledge of the sewing machine or a beginner sewing class is necessary as we only have 4 days to complete the project.  Everyone leaves with new technical skills, a complete handmade outfit, and the pride of creating something unique from start to finish. Our fee for this 4 day sewing  camp is $299.00 and includes tax.  Fabric is not provided for this workshop.  Campers will need to purchase about 2-3 meters of fabric and two small spools or 1 medium size spool of thread.  Light to medium weight fabrics such as cotton/linen blends will work well.  Patterns will be provided. If the patterns available don’t work with a particular body style, students can bring something that fits well to be duplicated.
