An optional time of critique will be offered after the workshop with the opportunity to share artwork and receive feedback.The current UWK exhibition, “Tar & Feathers”, will make a perfect backdrop for learning and honing art skills featuring over 100 artworks by 78 artists, is full of deft humor, emotional depth, vibrant intellect, skillful craft and surprising moments.Grace Storm, the instructor, is an artist from Eastern CT. Having spent years studying expressive portraiture in various mediums, including oil pastels, acrylics, her absolute favorite is watercolor. She says, “I have a love for bold colors and loose mark making. My teaching style is highly personalized, which means I will meet you where you are, whether you are working on the fundamentals, finding your style, or want to push yourself to a higher level of technical ability. I focus on giving actionable feedback that is simple and constructive. “Classes will take place weekly, on Saturdays, August 1 through 29 at 12 - 3 pm. Individual classes are $27 per session or discounted to $120 for all 5 sessions.
