Are you Team Eric or Team Yana???? It's time for our Ginga/Banga Challenge!!!

The word ‘banga’ in contemporary urban Angolan slang means ‘one’s own style’, a self-regard of high esteem, often reflected in clothing and ways of dressing. In dance it includes elegant footwork, smooth body movement, and attitude.

The word ‘ginga’ in contemporary urban Angolan slang is the beauty when walking or moving. You walk with grace, elegance, confidence, in a relaxed and spontaneous way.

Eric & Yana will take participants through a fun Banga (Men) and Ginga (Women) routine comprised of personal solo footwork.

At the end of class, we'll battle it out for the 1st Annual Banga/Ginga Challenge winner!!
