What's better than cookies for Christmas?
We would love to have you join us on Saturday, December 20, between 9am and 4pm to celebrate the holidays with cookies. We are offering holiday shopping throughout the event. While this is a normal farmers market day, we would like to invite talented crafters to bring their best in holiday decorations and unique gifts to showcase at our event. Spaces are limited, so please plan ahead to reserve your space.
Decorated Cookie Contest -
We are looking for beautifully decorated cookies for our two decorated cookie contests. We will award "Best Decorated" in two categories - Sugar Cookies and Gingerbread Cookies. Entrants will be allowed to enter either or both contests and must provide two identically decorated cookies (only one will be displayed, but accidents do happen), along with a dozen similarly decorated cookies for a fundraising sale by The Windsor Farmers Market. This contest will be judged by a panel of three judges. Prize to be announced.
Tastiest Cookie Contest -
Bring us your best! Enter your favorite homemade cookie into one of four "Tastiest" cookie contests -
Classic (chocolate chip, oatmeal, etc - the kind of cookie mom/grandma would bake)
International (any cookie with its roots outside of the US - country must be identified)
Filled (thumbprint, rugelach, etc - any kind of cookie that has a separate filling)
Gluten Free and Vegan (any version of any kind of cookie that is either GF, Vegan or both).
Overlap is possible for the "Tastiest" contests. It is possible to enter the same type of cookie for more than one contest if the cookie fits into multiple categories. Entrants must supply 3 dozen cookies for the contest as well as an additional 2 dozen cookies to The Windsor Farmers Market for our fundraising sale. These contests will be judged by customers who will have the opportunity to sample all of the cookies and vote for their favorite in each category.
Customers will be able to purchase cookies boxes in two sizes - one dozen or two dozen. Customers can mix and match cookies to fill their boxes - these will be gift ready boxes and make a great neighbor or office gift.
