Prayer beads have been used across many cultures for centuries as a sacred pathway to mindfulness, devotion, and connection to the divine.

Malas are traditionally composed of 108 beads and are most commonly found within Hindu and Buddhist practices. They serve as a meditation tool, helping to anchor attention through breath, mantra, or rhythmic repetition.

Join us for the sacred art of mala making, where you will be guided to create a piece that is both meaningful and personal. You will choose your materials with intention, selecting from a variety of wooden beads for the main body of the mala, along with gemstone beads, a guru bead, and your choice of a tassel or hanging pendant for added personalization.

Once your mala is complete, we will gather for a guided meditation to bless the malas we have created. You’ll also be introduced to practical ways to use your mala as a supportive tool for developing or deepening a meditation practice.

In this workshop, you will learn:
How to create your own beautiful, handmade mala

Several methods of meditation using mala beads can be easily integrated into daily life
(Don’t have a meditation practice yet? This is a wonderful place to begin—there is no better time.)

The history of mala and prayer beads, including the spiritual and cultural significance of the number 108.

This workshop is open to all—no prior experience with meditation or mala making is required.

Cost: $70. Includes: $40 for a 4-hour workshop & $30 in Material Fees.
