Step inside one of Indiana’s most notorious haunted locations for a real, after-hours paranormal investigation at Randolph County Asylum.
Built in 1899, the Randolph County Asylum served as a county home for the poor, the mentally ill, the elderly, and those with nowhere else to go. The property’s use stretches back even earlier, with informal infirmary structures on the grounds as far back as the mid-1800s. Overcrowding, disease, fires, and harsh conditions were common, and the asylum remained operational in various forms until 2008. A cemetery on the property contains dozens of unmarked graves, believed to be former patients whose stories were never fully recorded.
Today, the building is known not for theatrics, but for consistency. The asylum has been featured on Paranormal Lockdown and Destination Fear, and continues to attract investigators because reports don’t fade with time. Guests and teams regularly report disembodied voices, footsteps in empty corridors, apparitions in upper wards and stairwells, sudden temperature drops, and focused EMF spikes. The attic and basement are widely considered the most active areas, and one former isolation cell is often used for extended vigils. A spirit known as “Mary,” believed to have been a cook, is frequently described as an intelligent and responsive presence.

You’ll take part in structured investigation sessions before spending time investigating independently as the building settles into the quiet hours of the night.
