- **Event Description**: Drawing workshop based on the Folding Space exhibition using Kujibiki technique with artist Noriko Suzuki-BoscoAbout this EventAbout this eventIn connection with Folding Space: Japanese and UK Artists’ Books exhibition, Noriko Suzuki-Bosco leads an experimental drawing workshop exploring chance, play, and creative connection using the Kujibiki technique. Kujibiki is a Japanese term meaning lottery or drawn lot and refers to the act of selecting a lot, such as a ticket or slip of paper, usually to decide a winner or a random outcome. This workshop is inspired by the Kujibiki Drawing project https://kujidoro.net initiated by artist Hisako Inui in 2008. Hisako is one of the Japanese artists taking part in the exhibition.About this seriesFrom 2020-2025, The Winchester Gallery has partnered with the WSA Library and its artists’ book collection to create exhibitions under the banner 'Queering Connections’, introducing innovative research, groundbreaking artistic practice, and the richness of our local resources to make clear the value of queering our approach to materials and relationships.
