Join Lady Veterans Connect for Poetry From Art, a deeply therapeutic, fun, and stress-relieving workshop designed exclusively for women veterans. This unique experience uses collage-making as a doorway into creative writing, helping participants access self-expression in a gentle, supportive, and empowering way.

Through the Poetry From Art process, creativity flows from a deep inner place—moving through the hands and voice and onto the page. Within a nurturing women’s circle, participants are encouraged to explore self-awareness, connection, and allyship while building community with fellow women veterans across Kentucky.

No prior experience in writing or art-making is required. All art journals and supplies are provided, making this workshop accessible to beginners and seasoned creatives alike.

Lisa M. Miller, MFA, is an inclusive, trauma-informed chaplain, social justice advocate, author, and therapeutic arts leader. Her work supports women across all life stages in integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual resilience through writing and art-making, meditation, Ayurveda, and yoga.
