- **Event Description**: Meditation in Magical Practice (MMP) classes are based off the self-study course by Ben Schoonover designed to discuss the importance and uses of meditation in everyday life as well for the magical/spiritual practitioner.
While the classes do build on one another, each is designed to have stand alone value. The class is designed to discuss background on each specific meditation technique while also diving into how it ties into the Mysteries that exist all around us in everyday life and in practice.
The classes start off with an introduction to the given topic, discussion of the importance of it as well as how it ties into the greater Mysteries, a learning of the technique and then a brief discussion of its potential uses. Each segment ends with tasks for the student to go and do on their own.
The main emphasis lies with the importance of maintaining balance in magical practice, as well as forming a connection to everything around you and doing so through meditative practices as well as conscious effort. This class will specifically focus on the Vessel.
For those who do the self-study course, or are taking the classes to a serious degree, mentoring will eventually be offered for those who make it to a certain point and have done the tasks and documentation that goes along with them. Mentoring is entirely optional and is encouraged for those who end up doing a deep dive into this area of practice, or those who really want to put in the elbow work to maximize benefit for other areas of their practice/life.
Each segment ends with putting the technique in practice and then going over tasks and why they are important.
The class fee is $20 per person!
