- **Event Description**: The 2025-2026 wrestling season is here! We are proud to announce that WHS is hosting the first annual Glen Doherty Memorial Wrestling Tournament. This tournament honors the life of Glen Doherty, who was a class of 1988 graduate of WHS and member of the wrestling team. Glen was one of four Americans killed in a terror attack at the United States Consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 12th, 2012. Glen died serving with men he respected, protecting the freedoms we enjoy as Americans and doing something he loved. We are proud to partner with Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation to honor Glen with this tournament, and welcome all 16 teams attending: Bellingham, Brookline, Cheverus (ME), Danvers, Excel Academy, Gloucester, Malden/Everett, Melrose High School Wrestling, Newton North High School Wrestling, Newton South, Plymouth South, Portland (ME), Salem (MA), Saugus/Peabody Wrestling, Shawsheen Tech, Winchester.
