We’ll also observe how plants are responding to the warming temperatures. We’ll pass through several distinct plant communities—red maple swamp, mature oak forest, a burned hillside, and an old field—which should attract a variety of resident and migrant birds.Please bring binoculars if you have them. The path may be muddy in places, so wear sturdy shoes. We’ll meet at the Winford Way entrance to the Fells, next to 59 Winford Way (at the junction of Winford Way, Town Way, and Clearwater Road) in Winchester. Parking is available on the nearby roads.
