Capella Alamire was founded in 1984 to sing from copies of Alamire manuscripts, and has performed Franco-Flemish music in Boston, New York, Montreal, and the Library of Congress. The ensemble's director, Peter Urquhart, has taught at Brandeis, Harvard, and Boston Universities, while based at the University of New Hampshire. His book, Sound and Sense in Franco-Flemish Music of the Renaissance, was published in 2021 by Peeters, Leuven.
