This short afternoon recital sits perfectly before or after your sunday roast! Enjoy Michael Haydn's double concerto for Trombone and Horn, Schubert's "Auf Dem Strom" (on the river) written in the final year of his life and published after his death stands as one of his late great masterpieces. Sung by the incredible Soprano voice of Isobel Coughlan, the piece depicts the singer drifting away in a boat as she bids farewell to her lover. Joined on the french horn by Ollie De Carteret this is one not to be missed. Isobel will also be singing a selection of well known operatic Arias from La Boheme and Carmen as well as Mozart's Laudate Dominum.West London's most celebrated tuba quartet the aptly named ‘West London Tuba Quartet’ makes its hotly anticipated return to St Paul's Grove Park, playing a handful of your favourite tuba quartets. Join our Artistic Director Tom Torley as he takes us through some of the greatest works from the cannon of brass chamber music from the Classical music of Haydn right through to the modern day.Tickets are free but donations are welcome. There will be a short interval where drinks and snacks will be on offer.
