We will navigate through the framework of an oncology massage such as pressure adjustments, site considerations on the body, and position adjustments for our clients. On our last day we will discuss and problem solve ways we can help assist our clients after they are “finished” with their active cancer treatments. This class will enhance any massage therapist practice! We will explore: Massage as a complementary alternative to help combat side effects of allopathic cancer treatment; Adjusted palliative care – physiology, psychology and pathology (possible contraindications) and medications that can affect treatment planning (pre and post). Course Objectives: We will navigate through various topics to enhance your ability to meet the unique demands of this special population.
