Fire has gathered people since the beginning of human time. Not as spectacle, but as center — a place where something in us settles, opens, and remembers how to be present with others.

Once a month in Wilton, NH, a small community gathers around a sacred fire to do exactly that. No performance, no agenda. Just people and fire, as it was with our ancient ancestors and people are re-discovering today.

What to expect

You'll arrive as the fire is being prepared. As a group we will consecrate the fire using traditional offerings, and then the evening begins — an unhurried couple hours of warmth, presence, and genuine human connection. First-timers are always welcome. You don't need any background in spirituality or fire ceremony. You just need to be curious.

About your Firekeeper

Chris Griffin is an initiated Firekeeper trained through Sacred Fire, an international community working to help people restore relationship with the divine living world. Sacred Fire operates in seven countries; its fires have touched thousands of lives. Chris has served this Wilton community with care and consistency for the past six years, holding a space where the spirit of fire can do what it has always done — open hearts, deepen connection, and remind us what matters.

Practical details

• Arrive: 5:00 PM
• Fire begins: 5:15 PM sharp — please arrive on time
• Location: 56 Maple St, Wilton, NH — look for the yellow house with the large maple tree out front. Walk around the left side of the house to the backyard. Pass through the gate in the willow fence; the fire pit is directly to your left.
• The community fire is for adults (18+)
• Fires are held outdoors (with rain covering) except in extreme cold. Dress in layers.
