Trauma Informed Care (Main Wilson Library)

Vickie Hale, a registered nurse with the Trillium Health Education & Aging Resource Team (HEART), will define trauma and identify the type of experiences that constitute trauma. Learn about the relationship between a person’s lifetime trauma history and his or her behaviors and responses. Recognize how trauma affects older adults’ physical and mental health and learn strategies for implementing trauma-informed approaches. Registration is required by Thursday, November 6.
