Auditions will be held at the Edna Boykin Cultural Center, 108 Nash Street NE, Wilson, NC 27893.

ABOUT THE SHOW

You can't stop the beat of one girl's inspiring dream to share her big and bold dance moves. Against the background of the civil rights movement, Hairspray chronicles the high drama, high energy and high hair of a local tv dance show in 1962 Baltimore.

Directed by Seth Penwell with musical direction by Caroline Baker.

AUDITION PREP
Auditionees should prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theater song and bring sheet music in the correct key.

The acting portion of the audition will consist of cold readings from the script.

There will be no dance/movement to the audition.

Auditions are free. The participation fee, if cast, is $75 per person or $50 for Wilson Arts members at the family giving level or higher.
