Principles of Art

Principles of Art is the next step in creating compositions that work. The seven Principles, Balance, Movement, Pattern, Rhythm, Unity/Variety, Contrast, and Emphasis are made with the Elements. This class will consider how artists use the Elements to create each of the Principles. Creating small compositions that emphasize chosen Principles will support the application of these principles to future work. This a great follow-up to the Elements of Art workshop, but not a pre-requirement.
