*Member admission is free. Members still need to “book” 2nd Sunday admission in order to register for activities.

Creation Station
Come create with us from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm! Kids and their grown-ups are invited to dive into a world of colorful, quirky materials and let their imaginations soar. There are no rules—just endless possibilities! Dream it, make it, and watch your creativity come to life. All ages.

Studio Explorers
Get hands-on in the Studio with a professional artist! Each month, children and their families create a unique work of art inspired by pieces in our collection—experimenting with new materials and techniques in a creative, welcoming environment. All ages. On-site registration is required.

For August we will be making a family friendly artwork!

Time slots are open to all ages. Please register at the front desk when you arrive for your preferred time slot. In the event your preferred spot is filled, please feel free to enjoy all of our other programming happening around the museum until the next session.

Sessions:
Group 1: 10:15 am – 11:15 am
Group 2: 11:15 am – 12:15 pm
Group 3: 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm

Giggles and Tales
Let imaginations run wild in our Kids Corner with interactive story time led by artist and musician Quinci Spady. Featuring animated readings, playful activities, and lots of laughter, this program is perfect for sparking a lifelong love of reading and creativity. Parent participation required.

This month’s theme is Space Explorers! Blast off into a day of creativity and discovery! Inspired by Updraft by Edna Wright Andrade, families will explore the wonders of movement, color, and space through hands-on art activities, imaginative play, and interactive experiences.

Sessions:
Group 1 (ages 2–5): 10:30 am – 11:30 am
Group 2 (ages 6–10): 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
Group 3 (all ages): 12:45 pm – 1:45 pm

NEW! Pool Noodle Pirate Ships
Ahoy, mateys! Set sail on a pirate adventure at the Delaware Art Museum! Families are invited from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm to design and build their own pool noodle pirate ships using a variety of fun materials and decorations. Once your ship is complete, head out to the Sculpture Garden to test your creation and see if it can conquer the seas.

This special pop-up activity will be available throughout the day while supplies last, so be sure to stop by early! Wear weather-appropriate clothing and prepare for a swashbuckling adventure filled with creativity, imagination, and pirate fun.

Kids’ Corner
Kids’ Corner is the Museum’s interactive space for families. Kids’ Corner is open during regular Museum hours. (Please note: During 2nd Sunday, Kids’ Corner access will be limited to Giggles and Tales participants from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm.) Learn more.
