- **Event Description**: Modernizing Aging Stormwater Basins: Retrofits for Erosion Control and Water QualityAbout this EventStormwater Design WorkshopMany flood control basins predate modern design guidance and contribute to streambank erosion and poor water quality. This workshop shares findings from a recent NE Ohio-based study evaluating retrofits to legacy stormwater basin outlets to mitigate streambank erosion. Participants will learn how to identify candidate basins for retrofit, how hydrologic and hydraulic models are used to design outlet retrofits, and what challenges and lessons were encountered when applying these approaches at the watershed scale.
