Learn to Spin Yarn

Have you ever imagined yourself sitting in a cozy warm space while it rains outside, calmly spinning wool into yarn? This meditative, peaceful, and productive activity is a wonderful skill to learn and you can do it!

Join us in the historic Howard House at Ridgewood Ranch on February 28th for an Introduction to Spinning, taught by the highly skilled and lovely teacher Kathryn Rossum. We will provide materials and wheels (or spindles if you prefer) plus instruction guiding you to get a feel for the fiber, learn how to produce a twist and feel what it means to draft! These skills will get you started in this incredible practice.

Wool from the Headwaters flock
Wheels and spindles, with an option to rent equipment if you'd like to continue practicing at home
