Look for other knitters informally gathered, introduce yourself and then join in. Please bring your latest project to engage in the theme of knitting publicly. It is also a perfect time to pass along your skill to a newbie, so feel free to teach and demonstrate the fun of being a knitter and making wonderful fiber garments, accessories, toys or whatever your heart desires. If you want to, bring some samples of your work for show-n-tell.

Colorful Stitches will provide support in the way of several free patterns to share, extra needles to use, spare yarn to use during your stay, and the excitement of sharing their favorite hobby with the public. This is a FREE event and no reservations are needed, so come and enjoy.

World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes and set for the second Saturday in June annually. In the past, this event has shown the general public that all people, of all ages can enjoy knitting and can enliven the community in a singular shared activity.
