- **Event Description**: Come one, come all! NEPA’s Summer in the City is proud to announce the return of our annual event: NEPA’s Day Downtown 2026 on Public Square, Saturday, August 1st.

For our FIFTH year, we’re partnering with Food Dignity, Hillside Farms, The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA, Janet Weis Childrens' Hospital, Gifts for Teens to FUNdraise for local cuases!

Together, we'll be transforming Downtown Wilkes-Barre into day with something for everyone! This year’s event will feature:

? Run the River 5K & Walk in Kirby Park
?️ 30+ Food, Craft, and Resource Vendors
? 5 Hours of Live Entertainment
? Hillside's Traveling Farm Animals
? (NEW!) Food Dignity “Pay What You Can” Produce Stand
✏️ Non-Profit Partner Discovery Hunt

Signature Entertainment will include a blend of returning favorites and new additions, the committee is sure everyone will enjoy:

☀️ The Miss and Mister Sunshine Paegent 
? Garden Games Produce Competition with Food Dignity
? Dance Studio Showcases
? The Return of NEPA’s Got Talent
? (NEW!) The Pierogi Eating Contest

Most importantly, all proceeds will support our partners' community programs benefiting children across Northeastern Pennsylvania.
